We finally made it out on the lake for the first time this year! After many delays this spring and unexpected trips, Daren and I pushed to get the boat ready to go. As the weekend approached, the weather produced sun, wind, and also some rain. But all the hoses were connected, screws were tightened, vinyl was scrubbed and the boat was ready to go!
It was late in the afternoon when we finished getting the boat ready, but we were determined to get that boat in the water! Loaded up some blankets, snacks and warm drinks and headed out. The sun was shining but in the near distance, dark clouds were moving in.
We put in at Higgins Point Boat Launch in CDA and started cruising around the bays. It was a little chilly but nice out on the water. There are so many nice cabins and homes to cruise by!
We started to turn around and head back after making it to the CDA Resort. Took a couple of pictures and a good look at the looming storm clouds and decided we better get out of the water quick!
Luckily, we got the boat out before the massive rainstorm
(quite literally) rolled in. Safe to say that we had the entire lake to ourselves!
I am looking forward to more times on the lake this summer!
